The protection of the building structure from and during a fire is one of the most important aspects of its design. Inadequate or incorrectly installed fire protection systems could result in the premature loss of the structure or worse still, the loss of life. To avoid the spread of fire through the loss of compartmentation, all penetrations through compartment walls must be correctly sealed to prevent the spread of fire and smoke. Optimum Fire Protection has extensive experience in the installation of fire rated mineral fibre batts, fire rated mastics, mortar compounds, vermiculite plasters, and intumescent coatings as well as various joint sealing and waterproofing systems.
