Optimum Tutors offers exclusive in-home tutoring with a personalized service, guaranteeing discretion and confidentiality. We have been operating since 2005 in Los Angeles and OC. How do we work? Our Educational Specialist first performs a thorough assessment of the student’s academic performances and goals, also taking into account his/her availability, to draw up a tailored tutoring schedule. She then proceeds to find the best matching tutor. Our main goal is to ensure that each student receives tutoring adapted to his/her level of knowledge and skills. Each month, tutor, student and parents are given the opportunity to share their thoughts on the tutoring program and process. Any changes found necessary are implemented with each party’s agreement to ensure a positive tutoring/learning environment. Who are we? Our Tutors are university graduates most of whom are credentialed and experienced teachers. They have excellent interpersonal communication skills and the desire to share their knowledge. We have hired them for their qualifications but also for their outstanding personality. As we tell them during their interview: they don’t work for Optimum Tutors but with us. We like to see the tutors and the management as part of a team, and we do our best to keep them involved in the company’s strategic decisions. The owner, Stéphane A, Muller has been an enthusiastic and well-appreciated teacher and professor for over 15 years. He began teaching in 1998 while still a graduate at Université de Provence in France and received his teaching credentials from Cambridge University in the United Kingdom before completing his Doctorate in Education in 2006. He is now a part-time professor at UCLA Extension and the Director of Business Programs at UCIx. As a tutor, he has had the opportunity to work with prestigious families in France, England, Canada, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Bermuda and California.
