Approximately 90% of blind and low vision individuals cannot read braille which severely impacts their ability to obtain higher education, gain meaningful employment and live with independence. ORama AI is a pioneering assistive tech startup focused on enhancing braille literacy for the ~200 million such individuals across the world. Our flagship product, BrailleWear, is an innovative smart glove that simplifies braille learning for the visually impaired. Developed by Kushagra Jain and Lyon Li, BrailleWear uses AI to provide real-time audio feedback of braille characters, promoting independent and intuitive learning of braille. We're proud to have received an Innovation Award from CES and to be funded by the US National Science Foundation and a Google board member.
