Orangeland

The Orangeland project is an inspirational proposal of an agro-industrial program designed to promote orange cultivation and production, accompanied with the Open to the Public Orange processing Factory called TOF at Sparta, Laconia. This ambitious project contributes to the financial enhancement and commercial development of the region by increasing tourism in low season. Orangeland Sparta's aim is to educate children and adults on the precious fruit of orange, Laconia's product symbol, through entertainment, sports and creative activities. Visitors can watch the production line, get informed about the industrial process as well as learning about professions and specialties associated with the orange. The fully equipped conference centre of Orangeland Sparta emphasises on issues related to the supply chain of juice. It is located in Sparta, Laconia. Orangeland Sparta's urban version is Orangeland Home, located in the heart of Athens. It is a thematic, educational and cultural venue divided in five multicoloured levels that cover the “whole journey” of the precious fruit, from its seeding to the shelves of the super markets. The venue is available for visits from schools, educational organisations, private groups and tourists over a contact with the offices. Orangeland also organizes The Orange Festival. An annual festivity with sport activities, workshops, cooking, screenings, games and various events every summer in South Peloponnese.
