NTT DOCOMO and NEC established a joint venture company, OREX SAI, which will provide the "OREX Package", for full-scale overseas deployment of Open RAN. OREX SAI will procure locally all products and services of OREX PARTNERS and provide mobile networks that meet the requirements of overseas telecommunications carriers after verifying the operation of the systems. In addition, NEC will be able to develop its global business more quickly by leveraging its business base and global capabilities in more than 50 countries and regions where NEC has developed its business to date. Through OREX SAI, NTT DOCOMO and NEC will further collaborate with OREX PARTNERS to promote commercialization and contribute to the realization of a "truly Open RAN" that enables interoperability with devices and systems from any vendor.
