Origin Sciences develops and manufactures innovative diagnostic tools and assays that enable the detection, diagnosis and monitoring of gastrointestinal diseases. The Oricol™ sample collection device is Origin’s flagship product to enter the in vitro diagnostic market, which enables convenient and effective clinical sampling of mucocellular material from the rectum. Using the Oricol™ technology, Origin Sciences is developing a portfolio of assays and seeking collaborations to develop high-value tests for the GI market. Currently in development are tests for colorectal cancer (CRC) and Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). Origin Sciences’ products are developed and manufactured within quality systems accredited to ISO 13485. Founded in 2004, Origin Sciences is based in the UK, with a laboratory in Cambridge and offices in London. Origin Sciences aims to be at the forefront of scientific breakthroughs in the investigation of gastrointestinal diseases.
