OrioleDB's extraordinary achievement is its Dual Solution DBMS allowing its customers to have data both on-disk and in-memory. Oriole’s revolutionary approach towards buffering removes the customary bottleneck and makes Oriole DB faster and more economical than conventional DBMSs. Oriole’s dual pages mechanism speeds up work with cached data (the in-memory page can contain pointers to both on-disk pages and in-memory pages), improving work efficiency with larger in-memory databases. Row-level WAL operate at much smaller size than block-level WAL, resulting in lowered CPU and IO consumption.
