Founded in 1971, Orthopaedic Research Laboratories (ORL) is recognized as a leader in ASTM/ISO standardized and custom orthopaedic device evaluation via state-of-the-art mechanical testing, wear testing, and computational analysis. Our clients include global orthopaedic implant manufacturers from start-ups to major industry players. With a mission to improve patient outcomes, our goal is to help solve complex musculoskeletal problems by providing bench-top performance data, design optimization, and ultimately, regulatory compliance. To do this, ORL is equipped with proprietary multi-directional wear simulators, hydraulic axial-torsion testing frames, and the capability to perform kinematic and finite element computational analysis testing. In-house photographic and CAD proficiencies make ORL a full spectrum orthopaedic device testing facility.
