Education underpins everything we’re able to do – having access to formal job skills and being able to apply them is fundamental for career success. However, the reality is that most of us are time poor and cash strapped. Unable to attend workshops in person and unable to afford pricey online courses, we just read a few online articles, watch some YouTube and make do wtih what we can. For others, violence, trauma and abuse have made it impossible to secure the job of their dreams, whatever it may be. With these two factors in mind, oscar was created. An acronym, standing for online skills centre and resources, oscar is a comprehensive online learning library with over a thousand soft skills and technical training courses which will allow people to access online learning at a rate that is far more accessible than which is on the current market.
