Occupational Safety & Health Preceptor (OSHP) Malaysia had been established and operates under high ethical standards of occupational safety, health and environment studies and research to improve the safety culture and practice in the industries. The effectiveness of OSHP skill standards is to possess and demonstrate broad knowledge, explain the basis for actions and decisions, answer learner questions clearly and precisely, be open to conflicting ideas and opinions, connects information to broader concepts, communicates clear goals and expectation, and captures the learner’s attention. The main principle and concept are to improve and ensure people’s understanding and what practices of safety and health can save them before an accident and not increase more paperwork in the organization that can cause people to burn out and can not focus on their work.
