Ostem is a diversified engineering operation with a vast history dating back to 1957 and is situated in the traditional industrial hub of Vereeniging, south of Johannesburg. The operation is led by a highly experienced management team with a proven track record and an in-depth understanding of the industry. The operation was for several decades a division of Metso, the Finnish multinational now merged with Outotec to become Metso Outotec. It was purchased by Istogen Investment Holdings and began its new journey operating as Ostem on 1 November 2020. Ostem is a 75% black owned company, with a highly skilled and experienced workforce. We aspire to be a leading contract manufacturer and provider of fabrication, machining, assembly and repair services to all industries in South Africa and beyond.
