Outdoor Recreation Network

The Outdoor Recreation Network (ORN), encompasses a range of organisation with a remit to get people outdoors - from urban greenspace in towns and cities to remote, countryside and wilderness spaces across the British Isles. ORN is committed to exchanging and sharing information to develop best policy and practice in countryside recreation across the UK and Ireland. Vision “Encourage more people to enjoy and engage with the outdoors” Mission “Collaborate with members to share research, facilitate information exchange, and champion sustainable use and good practice.” We achieve this by networking between our member organisations:* Organising research meetings, conferences and seminars * Regular emailed newsletters of members’ information and news items published journals * Library of conference proceedings, reports and publications freely available on our website. Our library archive goes back to 1974
