Over Under Coffee

Over Under Coffee was founded in 2017 by Ed Barry. During a stint in New York as a nanny, he used his free to time explore the city's thriving coffee scene. Ed fell in love with the high-energy, fast-paced culture but didn’t like the pretentious atmosphere. He knew there could be a better way. Ed wanted to treat people well by creating a fun and friendly working environment which would spill over into the service style. He wanted to create a brand with infectious positivity and a great team of people. After returning to London, Ed worked in various cafes to get as much experience in the world of coffee as possible. This time allowed him to understand the intricacies of barista workflow; the key to great coffee; and what customers really want. The first Over Under store opened in Earl’s Court, London in 2017. The name is an ode to Ed’s parents: his dad a Brit and his mum a Kiwi. Although we started small there are now seven shops across the city and we won’t stop there. Over Under brings you the quality of specialty coffee without the fuss. Our goal is to have a positive impact on your day no matter how small. It's what we're all about. Great coffee. Great people.
