TOMRA's principal product groups include reverse vending systems, automated material collection centers, material transport and processing, waste recognition and sorting systems for recycling, and material compaction and baling equipment. TOMRA's operations are organized into four business segments: Collection Technology, Deposit Solutions; Material Handling; Collection Technology, Non-Deposit Solutions, and Industrial Processing Technology. The first two segments include TOMRA's activities in markets with deposit on beverage containers, while the latter two focus on the collection and processing of non-deposit materials.
