A private consultancy engaged across a range of activities, including- independent expert work in connection with IPOs/ECM and other capital markets transactions, and proposed disciplinary/market misconduct action. Clients include "magic circle" law firms, on behalf of investment banks; investors; corporates; and securities regulators. We have been involved in high-profile court cases, both civil and criminal (Cayman Islands, Hong Kong, Singapore, UK); a variety of enforcement proceedings before securities tribunals (Hong Kong, Korea), including those resulting in the highest fines ever imposed by the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission; arbitration (HKIAC/SIAC); and consulting assignments (Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore)- inSTRATEGIA division corporate strategy definition/implementation (especially for the Asia-Pacific operations of MNCs). Our projects are typically complex in nature and generally last from around six months to a couple of years, or more- coaching of senior, C-level executives and their teams- opinion columns (355+ articles) for, among others, the South China Morning Post, the Nikkei Asian Review and Euromoney's GlobalCapital- appearances as a lecturer, moderator, panel member and keynote speaker on for banks, universities, financial services providers, chambers of commerce and various institutions across Asia, including the HKICPA, the HKSI, the HKSFA and the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong; and - authorship of books on capital markets.
