Paatasala

Paatasala is a community partnered, culturally engaging educational institution that encourages children to learn the South Indian language, Telugu. It instills values that been passed on from generation to generation through the medium of instruction. This non-profit organization operates on a federated model in various locations that partners with willing volunteers and parents to teach their children the Telugu language. The syllabus is reviewed and approved by luminaries of the Telugu literary for its content and dynamic nature of adaptability to the geographical and cultural differences of the country that it is being taught. In this model of instruction not only tutors teach Telugu language skills to the students of all ages ranging from 6-year-old kids to adults, but also imparts moral and cultural values through weekly lessons. The structured course is taught over a period of four years, the promotion from one year to another year is based on the exams conducted on a quarterly and Annually basis and the students' attendance. Volunteer organizers and volunteer teachers of Paatasala periodically meet through various avenues, constantly getting feedback from one another, to enrich the syllabus and methods of instruction.
