Pacific Diabetes Technologies (PDT) has developed a hollow glucose sensor that allows insulin infusion and continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) at a single site using only a single needle per week. The device reduces the pain and daily disruption of managing insulin-treated diabetes and improves user experience for Automated Insulin Delivery systems. PDT’s products include a needle-free CGM Injection Port for insulin pens, a CGM Infusion Set for insulin pumps, and a CGM Infusion Cannula for use in tubeless patch pumps worn directly on the body. These time-saving devices reduce needle trauma, reduce adhesive irritation, and improve adherence among pediatric and reluctant adult patients.
