Paddle Royale

The Paddle Royale is the original and largest annual table tennis tournament in that is like no other. A unique social mixture of technology and gaming where every year a single player earns the right to be called “the King”. While anyone can challenge the throne at anytime by hosting an event for their company or group.(*2-3 months in advance is required for the throne challenge) “It is a careful balance of skill and thrill served up with appetizers, booze, betting, celebrities, prizes, and an array of technology for the hundreds of spectators to network and support their colleagues. “ Every year a Host challenges a limited number of competing groups and players in to determine whether a new king will reign. The 4 hour event includes table tennis, betting, prizes, pro challenges and once in a lifetime photo opportunities with Pros. Each event over 300 people from various creative companies and all walks have attended to network and watch the spectacle of pain and glory. The Paddle Royale was founded and produced by Damian Van Horn with the collaboration and talent from a collection of friends and colleagues within the Creative Technology Team of Leo Burnett. What started as an exploration in application development, technology, and morale building, became an annual city wide event that brought together Chicago's top agencies to generate proceeds for a great causes.
