Padra Serum

Padra Serum Alborz was established by a group of young Iranian scientist in 2016. The 1st goal of Padra Serum was to meet the national and regional need of producing local highly effective antivenoms based on GMP principles which are capable for neutralizing the venom of local snakes and scorpions. A new purification method for plasma purification is developed by our research and development team during 2016 and 2017 which has more recovery rate than other methods used in country. Padra Serum has a GMP compatible plant for plasma purification, venom treatment laboratories for fractionation and quality control, a serpentarium for quarantine the snakes and scorpions collected from various regions of country and milking of their venoms, an animal farm for housing laboratory animals needed for antivenom testing and quality control and a horse stable for horses used in antivenom production.
