Padre Wasson Foundation

Welcome! We’re happy that you’ve chosen to find out about about our foundation. December 21st marks Padre Wasson’s birthday. On 21st December 2020 the Padre Wasson Foundation was formed by a group of his friends and NPH family members. Padre Wasson always promoted sharing with those in need and hated bureaucratic structures. He acted. One of his mottos was „do it now!“ The Padre Wasson Foundation continues that and provides support to individuals and projects as our resources permit. We granted several stipends for school and university in different countries. Our mentees are descendants of Padre Wasson's huge family he gave to thousands of orphans in past decades. The philosophy of Padre Wasson lives on in thousands of grownups he once cared for and their families. Many of them have formed local groups to support each other. The Padre Wasson Foundation is engaging with these groups and individuals to build a network and strengthen their initiatives of love and care. As a tribute to his life achievements, we will also create an online museum and provide materials related to his philosophy. For future application and in a more scientific approach, the foundation will suggest solutions to some of the challenges families and communities face in today’s society. Our starting point is the analysis of Padre Wasson’s work in Mexico by the famous psycologist and sociologist Erich Fromm.
