Pandawara

Pandawara is a fast-growing, youth-led environmental movement based in Indonesia, transforming viral action into sustained impact. Sparked by five young people from Bandung who experienced floods caused by unmanaged waste, Pandawara began in 2022 with a river cleanup video that reached 5 million views—and has since evolved into a force of active volunteers, 50 local communities, over 1 million kilograms of waste recovered, and a growing social media following of 16 million. Beyond cleanup initiatives, Pandawara empowers communities, delivers environmental education, improves waste infrastructure, and advocates for policy reform in waste management.
