Pandem

Pandemic Risk and Emergency Management (PANDEM) is a research consortium funded by the European Commission's Horizon 2020 Secure Societies Programme. Within pandemic management, our objective is to identify critically important gaps in technologies, systems and capacity at national, EU and global levels across three main areas: surveillance, governance and communications. PANDEM is co-ordinated by the National University of Ireland Galway, and LSHTM, Université catholique de Louvain, the Public Health Agency of Sweden, the Swedish Defence Research Agency and IGS Strategic Communications are project partners. Research began in September 2015 and has an 18 month implementation plan, although we hope to continue the conversation beyond this date.
