Panhandle Restaurant Group was founded by two Veterans in the Sonic-Drive In system, both starting on the line at 16 years old and eventually growing to overseeing multiple Sonic Drive-In Regions. Over their tenure within the Sonic Drive-In system, the two partners leading the charge, Chris and Amy McMillan, have built a track record for turning stores around and improving sales of existing units through their proven process, magnetic culture, and hands on leadership. After spinning off from the largest Sonic operator in the nation, they formed the Panhandle Restaurant Group with the vision to be a leading multi-concept operator, operating 100+ units across five concepts in the Southeast. The group has built a company culture with the intent to be known in the industry as a powerhouse who consistently delivers unparalleled fast food service, which in turn, results in consistently operating at above industry average profit margins and unit volume. With a total 10 identified units, this group is an active franchisee for Sonic Drive-In, Slim Chickens, and Rib Crib. They intend to grow to 15-25 units in 2021 and have planned for rapid expansion under conservative financials to ensure the long term sustainability of their business to 100 operating units and beyond.
