A women-centric enterprise, Pankhudiyan’s foundation lies in the vision behind the Government of India’s Mission LiFE® (Lifestyle for Environment). Meaning ‘flower petals’ in Hindi, Pankhudiyan symbolizes a gentle yet resilient approach to transform our lives in a sustainable way. The brand’s goal is to create lifestyle products that also take into consideration our responsibility towards the environment and the workers behind the brand. One of Pankhudiyan’s first offerings, the all-natural range of luxury incense products, is an example of the brand’s vision. These products are up-cycled by women from rural India using sacred offerings from places of worship. This helps keep our rivers clean while also empowering the lives of these women with financial freedom. At present, the brand collects sacred flowers from Prayagraj with plans to add more source locations soon. With about 20 women forming the core team, Pankhudiyan aims to employ more women of diverse backgrounds from across India. Pankhudiyan’s journey is one of hope – one that aims to leave a cleaner environment for the future, along with making a difference to society by enabling women to realize their true potential.
