Our practice´s greatest achievement has been the ability showcase design as a positive tool for both industrial clients and local communities. In these processes, design visualization has expedited project approvals for public authority´s understanding and negotiation for impacted communities. Faster approvals translate into important economic savings which may be reinjected into local communities’ infrastructure. As a design-build company we have also been able to maximize opportunities, including local outreach, planning and communication to our projects. Resources that would be deployed as parallel projects have been aligned into un common vision projects. This was especially true in cases such as Quilapilun Park, or newly built Con-con Forest Park, both compensation projects that have become Chile´s first Native Species Botanical Garden. Panorama has had the chance to design, over hectares of conservation plans, which in many cases include urban and periurban educational parks. We have also budgeted and built three social mitigation parks, thus proving design is an effective tool for integrating and giving back to local communities.
