The Paralos* Story *Paralos, the sacred ship of the Athenians, engaged in public missions in 4 B.C. Paralos Events & Design Company © specializes in the organization and promotion of sporting events for the last 25 years along with the design and development of an extended range of printed materials and items, promotional products, sophisticated services and innovative technologies. Its highly qualified and experienced staff undertakes creative and design projects in all nautical events and commercial endeavors. Paralos Events & Design was founded in 1990 by a group of people who were actively involved in sailing and yachting. We thought of turning our love and know-how of our hobby into a professional task. Thus, Paralos Sailing Sports Marketing became the first advertising and marketing company in Greece specialized in sailing and yachting projects. At the beginning of the 90's we took over the publication of the monthly magazine of the Hellenic Offshore Racing Club, SAILING WORLD, distributed to the members of the Our main goal was to obtain extensive financial support for major events, as this was an emerging trend in the country. As a result, we secured the full sponsorship of Olympic Windsurfing Champion Nikos Kaklamanakis for 13 consecutive years (1990-2003), as well as the sponsorship of mega companies such as Diesel, Mercedes Benz, Marfin Bank, etc. During this collaboration, in 1997, Paralos Events & Design came up with a groundbreaking idea, the Aegean Challenge. In two days, Nikos Kaklamanakis crossed the Aegean Sea from Sounio to Santorini and then to Heraklio, Crete. It was a unique event that was successfully planned and executed, and it contributed immensely to the promotion of Greece's nomination for the 2004 Olympic Games. Paralos Events & Design worked alongside the hard-working, talented sailors who would go on to become Olympic champions in the 470 International.
