Established in 1961, situated in the beautiful suburb of Parktown in Johannesburg, Park Care Centre continues to provide excellent Specialized 24/7 Professional Nursing and Social Care Services Residential holistic nursing and palliative care services are offered to 320 physically and mentally frail residents who are in need of long and short term nursing care, persons who are of diverse backgrounds, various racial groups, languages, religions, cultures and income groups In addition, Park Care Centre has extended its professional services since 2010 through establishing a Community Development Project providing Home Based Care in Vrededorp, Johannesburg, serving a diverse group of more than an average of 270 and more, frail elderly within this disadvantaged community The Centre strives to provide holistic care that does not only focus on the physical needs, but, also the residents’ emotional, psychological, spiritual and social needs; Social work, counselling, rehabilitation services such as physio, occupational therapy, biokintecs, music movement, djembe drumming, and Pastoral care services, are of the many engagements available Enhancing the quality living frequent events are held eg. Valentine's day, Easter celebration, Mother and Father's days, Mandela day, Spring day, Christmas etc. These events are laced with sweet eats and treats, music, dancing, dress-up, prizes and fun activities Weekly activities include art class, bingo, knitting groups Tuck shop, hairdressing, church services are added benefits Nursing services include genetic disorder conditions diagnosed - Parkinsons disease, dementia, permanent comas, persons with tracheas or tube feeding, cancer, stroke, bipolar conditions and many other, and in addition to all, normal age-related frailty A secured unit – Forget Me Not cares for 104 residents with advanced dementia, Alzheimers and other related conditions Be recognized for your generosity - receive your tax deductible SARS 18A Tax Certificate
