Founded in 1978, Parkes Construction is a member of The Parkes Companies, which is located in Franklin, Tennessee, just a quick 20-minute drive down Interstate 65 from Nashville. With a single office location, we have been able to build long-term and long-lasting relationships with our clients and develop an experienced and strong team with our internal staff. We were formed as R.P. Industries, a commercial General Contractor, in 1978 by Joe Parkes, Sr, and are still being led today by his three sons, Joe Jr, Gary, and David, and his grandson, Clay. The company was reorganized in 2006 as The Parkes Companies to carry out the vision of Joe Parkes, Sr. to revive the Parkes company name in honor of his father's construction company. Parkes Construction has travelled the nation to accommodate our clients’ needs since 1983. This coast-to-coast commitment to “being on the job wherever the job may be” has not only broadened our outlook and enlarged our capabilities, but also increased the advantages that we offer our clients. We strategically offer critical expertise in Commercial Retail, Entertainment, Medical Office, Mixed-Use, Hospitality, Senior Living, and Light-Industrial. Our depth of experience and our flexibility mean that we can deliver projects of virtually any scope and size. From the beginning of our company’s history, we chose to focus on the variety of needs of and our ongoing relationships with our clients – which include end-users, developers, architects, and owners – rather than focusing on projects of a certain size or scope.
