Passion To Play

Passion to Play (affectionately known as P2P) is all about reigniting passions – passions for life, for friendships, for holistic well-being, and more importantly, passion for self-empowerment. During the initial COVID lock-down period, the founders of P2P, Prisca and John, were scrambling for the best ways to adjust. They were saddened by the increasing reports of mental health issues and escalating retrenchment. John is very athletic and Prisca is a keen student of holistic health, so online health and fitness became a common ground to bond with their friends and families. However, it was clear that the typical online programs were not suitable for everyone, especially those who had limited access to space or equipment P2P was born out of Prisca’s and John’s mission to support and empower the disadvantaged individuals through physical fitness, mindfulness and holistic education. Their goal is to encourage the community to arm themselves with skills of self-empowerment, which will come in handy no matter what life may throw at us. We have a fond mantra “You Got Your Back!”. P2P’s first project is focused on the migrant construction workers who have been rehoused on building sites. John and Prisca have personally attended weekly on-site sessions with the workers, practicing meditation, mobility and stretch exercises, and English language skills. Going forward, P2P wants to build a multi-cultural platform that is user-friendly and suitable for different ages, different abilities and different backgrounds. We also want to deploy retrenched workers and re-train them for our online teaching sessions.
