Pathway Arts
Pathway Arts works within refugee and asylum seeking communities in North West England, developing art projects, championing social change, empowering participants and raising awareness of what it is to seek asylum in the UK. Pathway Arts are a Manchester-based Company, offering a continuous programme of creative opportunities and advocacy work specifically for refugees and asylum seekers. Founded in 2012 by artists Anna White and Emily Hayes, Pathway Arts believe in the transformative effects that art can have on people’s often misinformed views of refugees and asylum seekers. By facilitating multi-arts workshops, the company aims to unravel participants’ stories, creating a visual dialogue to share with the wider community at events across the North West and nationally. Pathway Arts focus on three areas of work; the direct delivery of multi-arts workshops and projects for refugees and asylum seekers; the creation of local community partnerships and programmes to aid long-term acceptance and integration of refugees into communities; and in regional and national advocacy work.
