Pathway To Med

Pathway to Med is a registered charitable incorporated organisation (no. 1195137) focused on widening access to medicine. We offer a free, online mentoring service for medical school applicants from disadvantaged backgrounds. This would not be possible without our wonderful growing team of volunteer medical students from all over England and Wales. We are always looking for more people to get involved, no matter what point of medical school you are at! This organisation was formed in 2020 in order to help widen access to the medical field, and to support students in overcoming barriers they may face in the application process. We offer small group interactive teaching throughout the year to get you prepared for interviews and your Biology and Chemistry A-levels! There are also opportunities to get 1-to-1 interview mentors to give you a tailored approach to preparing for interview, as well as A-Level mentors who can help you revise the weaker spots in your Bio and Chem A-Level knowledge. As a mentoring service, our aim is to not only provide tutorials, but to offer continued support to our mentees throughout the application cycle. For our volunteers, we are always available to support and provide guidance for teaching. We encourage new ideas and innovation and offer certificates and references for all volunteers as well as personal letters of recommendation for exceptional performance. We want to cultivate your teaching and leadership skills which you will need throughout medical school and your medical career!
