Pause Painting

Pausepainting is a conceptual art idea by Serbian artist Nemanja Stevanovic, using technology as a creative tool to promote and define his paintings. His works include both physical and digitally-produced paintings in which he uses the pause symbol as a centerpiece for his visual narratives, breaking the classical tendencies of the conventional artistic path by going for a digital and tech-skeptical approach to art, all at the same time. A conceptually marked and curtailed by the volume of time. The works of pausepainting explore the subjective space and study and reconsider the structures of society, reality, consciousness, and thought processes, using a an artificial intelligence in the foreground, thereby questioning the existing logic and the current state of science in a satirical way.
