Paws at Peace is the premier provider of home euthanasia and hospice care for pets in the NYC metropolitan region. All we want is for our beloved pets to pass away peacefully in their sleep. We make that happen. The word “euthanasia” derives from the Greek for beautiful death. Throughout history and across the globe, humans of all cultures have built traditions and rituals around death to help us understand death as a beautiful part of the cycle of life. In modern times, death has become medicalized, more and more often taking place in a cold hospital away from love and family. We aim to change this. At Paws at Peace, we believe the end of life can be as beautiful as the beginning. Death is not something to run from, but an opportunity to celebrate the love we share with other beings during our brief time on this planet.
