Formed in 2017, Payfurther is rooted in the extensive industry experience, entrepreneurial drive, and principled approach to business of its Founder, Laura Barnes. After serving nine years as a Territory Manager with Heartland Payments Systems (and excelling in that position), Laura opted to pursue her own business direction. Over time, Laura had come to realize that merchants required a more progressive payments partner—one that was able and willing to explore options that were merchant and customer-focused. She determined there was considerable space in the payments industry for a partner willing to occasionally go outside the box, whether related to sponsor banks or technology options. She clearly heard the call for a payments partner that was even willing to be an objective listener and serve in a consultative capacity. Payfurther strives to do all that, while restoring confidence and a collaborative, partnership relationship between merchants and their payment processor—a relationship based on core values of respect and solid business ethics. That’s probably why Payfurther, one of just a handful of woman-founded and led Independent Sales Organizations (ISOs) in the U.S, is quickly becoming one of the payment industry’s fastest-growing processing and consulting companies in the country.
