Peace Sisters helps Girls Empower Themselves through access to educational opportunities in Togo, West Africa. Peace Sisters was founded by Tina Kampor, a Togolese American woman. Since moving to California in 2003, Tina has worked extremely hard to learn English and pursue a career in nursing. All the while she has been sending money back home to Togo in order to help support disadvantaged girls who would have otherwise dropped out of school. Over the years, the number of students she has supported has grown to over 630 girls. Peace Sisters was formally recognized as a 501(c)3 Nonprofit Organization in 2016.
