Most of us are never taught about money or how to run a business. We are left on our own to figure out how to save to buy a house, handle taxes, manage business income, or hire our first employee. We learn on the fly (mostly through our own mistakes)- costing time and money. Finance is analogous to health - it's a science with well documented strategies that lead to success. Yet we struggle to lose weight and keep it off or improve strength and decrease body fat. Despite the "science" being well documented for finance and fitness, executing a financial plan - just like executing a fitness plan - is more art than science. Successful execution requires a commitment to a plan which in turn requires a commitment to behavior change. That’s where a financial planner comes in. Together we will flesh out your goals, understand what’s important to you, and then work backwards to design a plan to get you from point A to point B. Most importantly, once the plan is built, I hold you accountable to the action steps that take a plan from a dream into a reality.
