Our mission Our mission is to broadcast and make available an effective option for minimizing chemically-induced hair loss. In doing so we hope to remove barriers to the treatment of underlying conditions caused by the stigma of hair loss. Our Story Penguin Cold Cap Therapy was created over twenty years ago by Frank Fronda, an engineer and businessman. He became aware of the devastating impact of hair loss caused by some medical treatments and set out to find an effective solution by researching the underlying cause of chemically-induced alopecia. His research led to the pioneering design of Penguin Cold Caps and Therapy. Initial trials in British medical research centers led to the use of Penguin Cold Cap Therapy in London hospitals and then across the United Kingdom. Due to their effectiveness, a global demand for the Penguin Cold Caps developed. Penguin Cold Cap Therapy has a 20-year track record of use as far afield as Australia, Asia and across the Americas. Continuous research and development using the latest innovative materials have allowed for significant improvements in the Caps and their effectiveness. For example, our Caps now all contain our proprietary Crylon Gel, so they are more malleable and stay colder for longer. Penguin Cold Caps has confounded expectations by minimising hair loss in challenging conditions. It may also be used for relief of trauma and migraine.
