Pennon is the parent company that unites WITF and Pennon Education in a common mission: to innovate and uplift education, arts, culture, news and information. Our organization inspires lifelong learning for the citizens of Central Pennsylvania. Our goal is to keep people informed on local issues and connected with their neighbors so they can analyze and collaborate to find solutions to problems faced by the community. Pennon works to better serve our community by: • Investing in education: Pennon Education provides the tools and programs that build curiosity and critical thinking, so that all community members – as young as preschool – are better prepared to navigate the flood of information in today’s world, and be better connected to each other. • Investing in local journalism: With one-fifth of U.S. residents already living in news deserts, Pennon invests in local journalism to distribute local news and information to our communities. • Investing in community: By building connections and finding common ground, our community is better able to get involved in the political process and make informed decisions about local issues that impact their daily lives.
