Founded by Managing Principal, Gregg Johnson. Pension Applications is an independent pension actuarial firm providing a wide range of services to sponsors of defined benefit plans. We do annual actuarial valuations and government filings as well as consulting for ongoing defined benefit plans. Beyond these fundamental services is an extensive array of other offerings to accommodate all needs of plan sponsors. Pension Applications specializes asset-liability modeling (ALM) services. We can model your asset allocation to reveal long-term costs and trends in your defined benefit plan. We can model alternative allocations that may produce more optimal outcomes. We can monitor the effectiveness of your asset allocation through liability benchmarking. We provide programming services in several platforms. For most applications we use ProVal valuation software. We can program your benefit plans to project long-term cost projections as well as to complete an ALM study. Additionally, we provide back-office programming resources for other actuarial firms, including stochastic asset liability modeling. We also have extensive experience in defined benefit plan terminations. Our services include quantifying the current termination liability, projecting potential funding strategies to get to fully funded using multiple asset allocations, and performing the calculations for all filings and final distributions.
