Our feet are as different as our faces. And nobody’s feet are perfectly shaped like a pointe shoe. PerfectFit is a system that lets you create a supportive, glove-like fit inside your pointe shoe. Dancers follow a simple molding process to make their own customized pair of inserts in minutes. With PerfectFit, dancers enjoy day-to-day comfort and control, all while protecting their feet for the long run. At PerfectFit, we believe in designing tools to empower you to meet your body’s needs. We also believe in celebrating differences and daring to stand out from the crowd. Headquartered in Menlo Park, California in the heart of Silicon Valley, we’ve proudly manufactured our products domestically since we launched in 2015. We’re a small and mighty team, growing the family of PerfectFit dancers around the world. Kelly Schmutte, Founder + CEO, grew up dancing in Davis, CA and got her first pair of pointe shoes at age 11. In addition to her love for dance, she’s always had a passion for creating and making. She studied Product Design at Stanford, which was where she first began putting her creative energy toward her lifelong curiosity of how to improve the experience of dancing en pointe. After working hard for many years to prototype the right solution, Kelly launched PerfectFit in 2015. Within a year, she was connecting with interested dancers at NYCB and ABT, which signaled the beginning of an exciting new chapter. She credits the openness and curiosity of dancers at all levels in helping to catalyze a shift in the ballet world, and for growing PerfectFit to where it is today.
