Pericon is startup ideation and innovation company that develops and markets products that improve people’s quality of life one small change at a time. In November 2009, Shawn O’Neal, with a few of his MBA classmates, initially conceptualized Pericon to create and market License Plate Reader technologies (LPR). LPR opportunities were almost limitless as we explored the potential uses of LPR. However, we came to the conclusion that LPR had two significant challenges that limited its commercial use: 1. License plate information is controlled by states and is fairly restricted to legal use only by government agencies. The general public isn’t prepared for, or willing to accept, the level of personal information intrusion that LPR is capable of. Given these two challenges, we elected not to pursue LPR opportunities. Pericon has since morphed into a different concept and company. Ideas are a dime a dozen and everyone has an idea for a product at some time in their life. The only difference between ideas and products is that someone decided to make it happen. Pericon was created to make ideas happen. Our vision is to dream big and deliver creative and innovative products that enable life to be even more enjoyable.
