Since 2008, the project EVOA is driven by the desire to create a line of sunscreens and cosmetics, eco-compatible and neutral to the coral. The toxicity of sunscreens has been demonstrated and published by Professor * Danovaro, Department of Marine Sciences, Polytechnic University of Marche, Ancona, Italy. It follows from this study that the sunscreen contain ingredients that cause mass bleaching and coral death rapidly if they are introduced in the wild. After 2 years of research on the ingredients, all formulations of the range EVOA were tested in a scientific protocol. A mission was mandated by EVOA to test on site the entire range. This expedition, led by Professor Danovaro in July 2010, visited the island of Siladen in Indonesia, which has one of the greatest diversity of coral in the world. All samples tested has also been double-checked at the Marine Biological Laboratory, University of Ancona (Italy) to confirm the observations made at sea This makes the range EVOA the first range in the world of eco-friendly sunscreen and scientifically approved for use in coral reef area.
