Pestalozzi Children’s Village Society (PCVS) is a registered charitable; non-religious UK based Organization providing sponsorship to bright and intelligent children for schooling in premier English-medium schools in Dehradun. The children live in mixed nationality (Indian, Nepalese & Tibetan refugee children) hostel accommodations on a full-boarding basis. Pestalozzi Children’s Village Society was established in Dehradun 2003. We provide free education to very bright but underprivileged and rural children of India, Nepal, and the Tibetan community in exile. Lodging, boarding, books, uniform,s, etc. are all provided free to the deserving children. In keeping with Pestalozzi principles of ‘Head, Heart, and Hands’ the children are also given practical skills training in a range of activities including carpentry, sewing and needlework, gardening, and computing. Older children also take part in local community service activities.
