Pet-ID is a dedicated supplier of microchips and associated equipment and products operating worldwide from our base in West Sussex. Pet-ID supplies microchips to a wide selection of implanter channels including welfare, veterinary, breeder, groomer, local authority, police, catteries, kennels, other pet services, zoos, wildlife organisations and conservation projects. Pet-ID also distributes worldwide to international customers and has distribution arrangements in countries inside and outside the EU. Pet-ID supplies FDX-B microchips which are Swiss engineered and manufactured to Pet-ID’s specification, which conform to ISO Standard 11784/11785 as required for use in the UK as well as EU countries and most other territories, and carry a lifetime guarantee. Each microchip is pre-programmed with a unique number, specifically identified by Pet-ID’s ICAR manufacturer code 958, then encased in bio-compatible glass coated with Parylene-C medical grade coating which forms an irregular surface allowing tissue fibres to bond and grow around the chip to prevent migration. Microchips are processed and packaged into implant formats and sterilised with ethylene oxide by our processing partner who manufactures the majority of the world’s medical needles. Needles are precision engineered to ensure both strength and sharpness, offering effortless implantation. In fact, our needle assembly (for use with implant gun) is the narrowest gauge needle available for standard 12mm microchips.
