PFM was established in the Limpopo Province (RSA) in 1995. The company which initially started with a staff of three, today has 32 branch offices nationally and a subsidiary in Swaziland and employs in excess of 650 employees. The Group is managed from its corporate head office in Polokwane, and a client service centre in the same town. Its founder Gezani Mashele, left the corporate insurance world to establish his own business with a vision of making a difference in the insurance and healthcare industries. This vision soon led to a focus on the funeral schemes and medical aid markets, and the establishment of PFM Medical Scheme Marketing Pty Ltd, Prime Fund Managers Pty Ltd and recently PFM Financial Services that together form the PFM Group. The objective of the Group is to become a major player in the medical and insurance distribution market through offering quality products that meet client needs, quality, efficient service and ongoing product modification, development and staff training. The membership of the group has grown to some 350 members. The Group is now fully focused on marketing and administration in the insurance and healthcare industry, with its own exclusive options.The business strength of PFM lies in the quality and extent of staff expertise and its infrastructure. The larger staff enables it to service its clients efficiently.
