We are a corporation founded specifically to design and create positive social and economic change. We do this by creating sustainable programming around key community problems and developing networks of productivity that fuel each other. A few key areas of programming are youth homelessness, unemployment, literacy, and access to business resources. We know the value of information and inspiration. MISSION Our mission is to provide support, education, and development opportunities to lift our participants' mindsets, experiences, and aspirations far above and beyond convention to create both a drive and capacity for success. Just as the mythical fire bird rose reincarnated from its own ashes and flames, Phoenix calls all those with whom we work to rise Beyond Efficiency, Beyond Expectation, and Beyond Excellence. A major initiative of ours is a full service partnership with the State of Georgia Department of Family and Children Services to define new realities for foster youth. Foster youth all over the country are aging out of vital social services at 18 without having been given key life skills. They are being left without proper social, economic, and personal support. As such, this often leads to homelessness, crime, and in many cases incarceration for teens and young adults within this demographic. Phoenix International's Independent Living Program was founded to facilitate life skills and support resources to enable this youth population to achieve success on their own terms! Our ILP provides room, board, watchful oversight, academic support, vocational support, and instruction on key life skills. We extend our corporate culture of BEYOND into our interactions, programming, and expectations of the youth. We encourage them to strive and rise BEYOND Efficient, Expectation, and Excellence. We daily foster the ideal that going BEYOND will be the strategy that will allow them to elevate themselves into a life BEYOND any expectations they ever thought possible.
