Founded in 2019, PhysiPal has been working towards developing practical solutions to keep patients on track with their rehab beyond the clinic. At least 50% of patients are not completing their rehabilitation exercises properly, and in a pilot survey, we have found that more than half of patients that have a knee surgery are not confident in completing their exercises without the supervision of their treating therapist. We are tackling this problem practically, by talking to patients, therapists and surgeons, to find out where the key barriers to rehabilitation are, and what solutions patients and therapists are wanting to work with. Our pilot app address the pyschosocial aspects of care that are often overlooked, to provide a holistic approach for an engaging healing journey in physiotherapy.
