Pi-Thermie

Pi-Thermie is a start-up, created in 2020 for the development of innovative solutions in the field of heating, cooling, ventilation in buildings. Heat pumps represent a very suitable solution for the energy system of the future. They can be powered by renewable electricity and will thus significantly restructure the energy concept of Europe. However, the performance of a heat pump is extremely sensitive to their operating conditions. This part is today very poorly managed because a building renovation rarely covers, mainly for economic reasons, the energy system as a whole (building envelope, heat pump and heat emitters). Performance in service is therefore far below the possibilities of this technology. The solution proposed by pi-thermie represents a break from this mode of operation by proposing an integrated approach between the renovation of building envelope, heat production and emission. In other words: reduce heat losses and produce the necessary energy with optimal efficiency. The final energy consumption of the building is therefore drastically reduced by a factor of 7-10 (depending on the age of the building, the climatic zone and several other parameters) at lower costs compared to commonly applied retrofit solutions. The solution is mainly focused on residential buildings but can also be applied to office buildings.
