Picnic & Thrift is a thrift market and creative collective that specialises in second-hand fashion markets and events with a focus on sustainability, individuality, and self-expression. The company hosts events monthly throughout JHB, PTA and CPT, includingan array of nightlife events focused on art curation and DJ promotions. We work with young adults and individuals who value unique, eclectic fashion and a rebellious, edgy aesthetics. Picnic & Thrift is active in the LGBTQIA+ scene in South Africa, and is known as a safe space for all of its' attendees, known fondly as the P&T Family. Picnic & Thrift markets are known for its curated selection of vintage and thrifted clothing, accessories, and unique tattoo and piercing stalls - all of whom are run by small and upcoming creatives and business owners. The company has a strong online presence, with a website and social media accounts showcasing its products and events. Picnic & Thrift has also been featured in over 25 local publications and blogs, highlighting its contribution to the sustainable fashion movement and its role in the Johannesburg creative community.
