Piedmont Columbus

Piedmont Columbus dates back to 1836 when the local hospital was a small building on the Chattahoochee River. It is now the region’s healthcare leader, offering compassionate care and an unwavering commitment to patients. Piedmont Columbus consists of two hospitals, a cancer center, four retail pharmacy locations and over 35 physician practice locations. Piedmont Columbus joined the Piedmont family in March 2018. Midtown Campus is a 583-bed, acute care hospital featuring a regional Level II trauma center and one of six perinatal centers in the state with a Level Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The only Piedmont facility with a Children’s Hospital is getting an upgrade: the former Doctors Hospital is being transformed into the Bill and Olivia Amos Children’s Hospital; the freestanding facility is slated to open in fall 2024. Midtown Campus has been home to the Family Medicine Residency Program since 1972. The nationally recognized program, which was the first of its kind in Georgia and one of the first in the Southeast, has graduated over family physicians. Northside Campus is a 100-bed, acute care hospital specializing in an extensive range of surgical and emergency services. It is nationally recognized for delivering outstanding clinical quality, accompanied by the highest levels of customer service. Our Mobile Unit offers services and health education to meet the needs and improve the health of the Chattahoochee Valley. The 40-foot bus, which serves as a mobile clinic, consists of a waiting area, well-equipped exam rooms and a lab. The Mobile Unit team consists of a registered nurse, social worker, physicians and a pharmacist. Through health screenings, health and wellness education and resources, the Mobile Unit is able to help identify and target health risks.
